Meet the Founder

Hello, I'm Joshua Farquharson and welcome to Allied Health Tools. I want to take a moment to share some of my background with you. Throughout my career in the education and training services industry, I've had the honor to teach thousands of students and work with many talented educators and learning designers. With time, I've developed an ability to spot unusual patterns and come up with out-of-the-box solutions to help people get to the next level, creating real change in their lives.

Helping people rise to their potential

As an educator, I've seen firsthand where students struggle. The patterns are undeniable, and many students experience similar pain points consistently. I, too, faced challenges as a student, and having empathy for learners has helped me understand and address their needs.

Creating innovative solutions with YOU in mind

As a learning experience designer, I've harnessed the power of educational technologies, learning science, researched-based instructional strategies, and learner feedback to create effective solutions that target specific challenges in the most efficient way possible. With Allied Health Tools, learners develop skills quickly and have more time to focus on other priorities.

We understand your needs

Everyone's learning needs are unique, and we take your success seriously.
Students who succeed with our content share similar preferences with how they learn.

I have a busy life.
I need solutions that respect my time.

Are you bored with courses that have extensive reading assignments and long lectures, or lessons that seem unnecessarily long?
We get it. That's why most of our courses can be completed in less than 20 minutes. If you need more time, that's fine too!

I want more control over how and when I learn.

Do you enjoy self-paced courses that put you in control of your progress? You're not alone. Our courses are self-paced giving you the flexibility you need to progress at your own pace. Get the practice you need when and how YOU need it.

Can you relate?

If so, you're in the right place. We'll help build your confidence through meaningful practice so you can apply your skills right away.  We are so excited to help you get to the next level.

I want the opportunity to practice on my own before practicing with others.

Do you prefer to spend time learning a new skill privately before practicing with others publicly? We understand. It can be embarrassing and the pressure of having to perform in front of a crowd can be overwhelming. Our practice activities help you develop key skills at home so you can begin gaining confidence before you get to class.

I prefer a more hands-on experience with learning.

Do you learn best through hands-on practice? Our real-world scenarios, simulations, and interactive practice activities provide plenty of opportunities to practice so you can apply your skills correctly in class and on the job.
